Capulet Is Hiring: Contract Print/Web Designer
At Capulet Communications, we’re looking for a print/Web designer to join our team on a contract basis. Ideally, we’re looking for:
- At least two years of experience doing layout and design work for both print and the Web. We design everything from online banner ads to tradeshow booths for our clients.
- Familiarity with common industry tools—Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Fireworks, etc.
- An efficient worker. We’d rather have a fast, good designer than a slow, great one.
- Good communications skills. If you’re a decent writer, that’s a bonus, as there’s always plenty of writing work as well.
To start, we’re offering a three-month contract with a minimum of three days (24 hours) a week. During busy periods, we may employ you for four or five days a week if you’re available. If both parties are happy after the three month contract, we’d plan to renew for six months. There is also the possibility of eventual full-time employment.
NOTE: This is not an invitation for Web design companies to pitch us with their services. We’re looking for an individual to work with us (both physically and philosophically) on an ongoing basis.
The person we hire will work in our splendid studio space at Quebec and 2nd, two blocks from ScienceWorld (er, TelusSphere) and one block from Mario’s Gelati. We’ll even buy a brand-new Mac for you to work on.
At Capulet Communications, we specialize in marketing and PR for small-to-medium size high-tech companies. We do everything from media relations to site maintenance to whitepapers for our clients.
If you’re interested in this position, send us an email at jobs@capulet.com. Include your resume and, ideally, a link to your online portfolio. You’re also welcome to include samples of your work—attachments up to a total of 1 MB. We’ll be accepting resumes until February 16, 2005.
