It’s more art project that business analysis, but BrandMarker offers an insight into how and how much people remember about popular brands:

An attempt to evaluate the actual power of brands by making Austrian people draw a total of twelve logos (nine international, three typically European) from memory, 25 people per brand.

Predictably, the simpler the logo, the more accurately people remembered it. Compare the Apple drawings with the nightmare dragons that are Peugeot.
