We Wrote the Book on Social Media Marketing
We Wrote the Book on Social Media Marketing
In December, 2007, we wrote an ebook called "Getting to First Base: A Social Media Marketing Playbook". We self-published it online and promoted it to the usual suspects.
The popularity of that ebook led us to No Starch Press, and a book deal to write an expanded and updated hardcopy edition called "Friends With Benefits". Here's the blurb from the pubilsher's website:
The rules of marketing have changed. With viral YouTube videos racking up millions of views, popular bloggers reaching more readers than their traditional media counterparts, and Facebook mavens influencing thousands of their friends, marketing professionals simply cannot ignore the web's new communication channels. But this new brand of marketing can be intimidating if you're unfamiliar with the new tools, the evolving culture, and the unwritten rules surrounding them. Friends with Benefits: A Social Media Marketing Handbook is a tactical guide, filled with tricks, tips, and real-world case studies that show you how to reach out to the new online influencers to increase your company's online visibility and bring more visitors to your website.
And here's what our chapter breakdown looks like at the moment:
